Where it started
Rookies workshop officially began in October 2026, when we registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) and turned a passion into a real business. From day one, our goal has been simple: make handmade bags from durable, heavy-duty fabrics that are built to last.
From hobby to career
It all started with a hobby: making bouldering chalk bags for myself and climbers who needed a reliable and fun bag for their chalk and gear. What began as a side project at the workbench quickly grew as more people asked for custom bags.
Today, that hobby has become a professional craft. Besides our bouldering chalk bags, we now make EDC (everyday carry) bags, camping pouches, cases and outdoor bags. Every piece is cut and sewn by hand in the our workshop in LAB Wijnhof, using tough, water-resistant and abrasion-resistant materials. We design for people who spend time outdoors and expect their gear to keep up.
Future plans
We’re only getting started. In the coming years, we plan to expand our collections with new bag types and designs for climbing, camping, travel and everyday use. At the same time, we want to keep raising the bar on quality, using even better materials and finishing every product with more attention to detail.
Our focus stays the same: honest craftsmanship, durable materials and products that get better with every adventure.
